Success Stories

Dolphin Capital's two founding members, Eric Jacobsen and Dan Schley, have worked together since 1987 when they bought MECA Software, a consumer software company. While running MECA, Mr. Jacobsen and Mr. Schley acquired Great American Software. They managed MECA's IPO and later sold MECA to H&R Block, providing a 30x return to investors.

Eric Jacobsen and Dan Schley moved on to form Home Financial Network which emerged as a leading online banking provider. Mike Dutton was with the sales and marketing team of Home Financial Network and has been a pivotal part of the Dolphin Capital team since then. Home Financial Network was sold to Sybase through which Financial Fusion was formed.

Since selling Home Financial Network, Dolphin Capital has continued its operating investment strategy by adding platform companies that provide opportunities for direct engagement.
